Are Laserdisc’s Region Free? because i wanted to buy some anime fom japan but it’s only available in laserdisc
I’m talking about Laserdisc’s (LD) not DVD’s.
Yes, Laserdisc are region free. They were designed before the concept of region protection was thought of. Region encoding started with DVDs. Laserdiscs never really got accepted into popular culture the way DVDs eventually did. That was probably because of their size and expense (both discs and players). I assume you already have a laserdisc player because they are a little hard to find to buy these days (although not impossible).
